Gordon Crook and Conserving the Michael Fowler Centre Tapestries

It’s been an honour for the studio to be involved in the ongoing conservation of The Michael Fowler Centre’s much-loved tapestries. Since 2013, a team of our own has collaborated with renowned textile conservator Rangi Te Kanawa to maintain this beautiful work.

2021 marks 100 years since Te Whanganui-a-Tara artist Gordon Crook’s birth. Thanks to the council’s commitment to taking care of public artworks, these works will still be enjoyed another 100 years from now.
