On Thursday, 13 November, Studio Izzo had the pleasure of hosting The Art of Preserving, The Art of Creating, an intimate event celebrating the intersection of art heritage, fine jewellery craftsmanship, and exceptional Italian gastronomy. In collaboration with Holland & Co and Prodotti, the evening brought together clients, colleagues, and friends for an inspiring exploration of creativity, tradition, and technical skill.
Guests were welcomed into Studio Izzo’s Parnell studio for an evening that highlighted the depth and breadth of artistic practice across different disciplines.
Carolina Izzo, Managing Director and Head Conservator, shared insights from her decades of experience in art conservation throughout Aotearoa New Zealand and Italy. Her presentation highlighted the delicate balance between scientific precision and artistic intuition required to preserve cultural heritage for future generations.
Joining her was Greg Holland, Founder and Creative Director of Holland & Co, who invited guests into the world of fine jewellery design. Greg discussed his creative process, from concept and gemstone selection through to refinement and craftsmanship. He also showcased several of his latest pieces, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look into his practice.
The third co-host, Prodotti, represented by Marco Canegallo and Vittorio Barbati, elevated the experience with a remarkable selection of Italian delicacies. Guests enjoyed 66-month Parmigiano Reggiano, Culatello di Modena, and an assortment of fine wines — a generous and authentic taste of Italy.
As announced during the event, Studio Izzo is delighted to present three special opportunities for art lovers and creatives in 2026:
